RS class assembly

On Friday 2nd February, Reception performed an excellent ‘Around the World’ assembly for the school and their parents.

We visited famous landmarks from across the globe and met different characters including Paddington Bear!

Well done to the class for learning their lines and delivering the songs and dances with such enthusiasm.

Value of the Month – Consideration

The Chiswick & Bedford Park Value of the Month for January 2024 is consideration.

Being considerate of others means thinking about the feelings of those around us, whether that be how they feel or how our behaviour or actions could affect them.

Year 2 to 6 Christmas Concert

On Wednesday 6th December, pupils from Years 2 to 6 performed a medley of carols and songs from around the world, with songs sung in Latin, Spanish, German, Italian and Serbian. The choir and singers sang beautifully, whilst the recorder and flute groups gave excellent performances for their friends and families in attendance.

Festive Fun Run with Orchard House School

On Friday 8th December, pupils from Year 2 – 6 joined their friends at Orchard House School for a festive fun run.

The children wore their favourite Christmas jumper or holiday accessory and enjoyed a friendly race around the green with the hope of winning a medal and having fun!

Thank you to the teachers at both CBPPS and OHS for your help in organising the event, and a big thanks to all the parents that were able to join us to cheer the children on.

Year 4 Class Assembly

On Friday 10th November, Year 4 took to the stage to slay dragons and fears in their class assembly. Performing for the school along with Form 4 pupils from Orchard House School, the class took us through the history of dragons and how to conquer your fears. Well done to the class for delivering their lines and songs with such confidence and enthusiasm.

Years 4, 5 & 6 have drawn these stunning portraits in their art lessons this month. Inspired by the Artist of the Month for October 2023, Saype, the classes sketched in the style of the innovative contemporary artist.

Year 3 trip to Pizza Express

On Wednesday 4th October, Year 3 enjoyed a visit to Pizza Express. The children enjoyed learning about healthy eating habits before each building their own pizza, discussing the ingredients as they made them. The visit also tied in with their focus on instructional writing as they created their own recipes.

Reception visit to Holland Park

On Monday 2nd October, Reception enjoyed their first visit of the school year to the Holland Park Ecology Centre. The children had a wonderful time exploring the autumnal woods, before making hedgehogs out of natural materials including sticks, clay and berries.

Macmillan bake sale fundraising success!

On Friday 29th September, Year 6 turned their classroom into a bakery to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care. The annual event was a huge success, and the class raised £385 for the charity.

Thank you to everyone that got baking and buying the homemade sponges, cookies and cupcakes!

Years 5 & 6 visit Kew Gardens

On Monday 12th June, Years 5 & 6 visited the world-famous Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew. They were lucky enough to have the sun shining, so both classes were able to make the most of the gardens and explore the wildlife and habitats around them. After learning about the insects, plants and animals that call Kew Gardens home, they headed to the Children’s Garden and enjoyed discovering the different activities available in the new adventure area.
