Artist of the Month – Clarke Reynolds

By 9 September 2021All School News

For September 2021, and the start of the new school year, our Artist of the Month is Clarke Reynolds. Making art accessible for all, Reynolds uses a combination Braille, texture and soundscapes to create an audio/visual experience for all to enjoy. The partially sighted artist struggled to use the tools he had previously worked with as his sight deteriorated so began to work with a variety of materials to feel more connected to his work, such as wool to sew with and create layers of texture. After it became such an important symbol, Reynolds designed a ‘rainbow’ bench that spelt out the words ‘hope’ and ‘love’ in rainbow coloured Braille during the pandemic.
