On Tuesday 7th June CBPPS took part in ‘French Day’ where we celebrated different aspects of the country and cuisine. The children loved tasting a selection of French foods including baguette, butter, Brie and saucisson (show photos of the food tasting.)
Year 1 and 2 were entertained by Martina from The Freshwater Theatre company who told the story of Goldilocks and then the Three Little Pigs entirely in French. The children loved taking part with some getting to play the roles of the pigs, the wolf and Goldilocks and everyone sang along to the accordion!
The children learnt about the Eiffel Tower and had fun constructing models of it using spaghetti and marshmallows.
Some of our French parents came in to read classic French stories to Reception and Year 1.
It was a great day!
