On Thursday 7th November Chiswick & Bedford Park took part in Outdoor Learning Day.
Joining in with the day, Form 1 went outside during maths to see the 2D and 3D shapes in the local environment. The children were very engaged and enjoyed finding circles, squares, rectangles, spheres, cones and cubes (to name a few) in the streets around school. They then used their knowledge on shape to describe the properties and why certain shapes are best suited for different uses (such as a roof or a wheel) in the local environment.
Reception enjoyed exploring the playground and using natural materials to create repeating patterns.
