Science Week 2022

By 18 March 2022December 5th, 2022All School News

Wow, what a jammed-packed Science Week this March! We have been visited by a variety of guest speakers including a doctor, a surgeon and an engineer who gave the classes a unique insight into their specific STEM-related fields.

In science lessons the children have been making bubbles, designing and making Martians and building fantastic magnetic games. At home, pupils have been decorating ‘growth’ posters, with winners of the poster competition to be announced next week.

The team from Inventors and Makers ran interactive workshops for the different year groups, where they learnt about structural engineering and built their own towers, and we rounded off the week with the whole school taking part in a dress-up day with the theme for costumes being ‘growth’. We saw flowers, animals, the solar system and many more excellent outfits around the building.

Thank you to everyone that has taken part and made British Science Week 2022 such a big success!
